Yousra Abourabi ist außerordentliche Professorin an der Sciences Po Rabat, Université Internationale de Rabat, und assoziierte Forscherin am Labor „Les Afriques dans le Monde“ in Bordeaux. Sie promovierte in Politikwissenschaft und internationalen Beziehungen an der Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, wo sie sich in ihrer Dissertation mit der Außenpolitik Marokkos in Afrika unter König Mohammed VI. beschäftigte. Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich ihre Forschung immer mehr auf die Herausforderungen der Regierungsführung auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent verlagert, mit besonderem Augenmerk auf Umweltfragen und die Schaffung und Weitergabe von globalen Normen.
