Chioma Daisy Onyige is a Professor of Criminology at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Currently she is a fellow at the Émile Durkheim Research unit at the University of Bonn, Germany. Professor Onyige is an esteemed fellow of several prestigious institutions, including the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, the Rachel Carson Centre for Environment and Society in Munich, and the African Science Leadership Programme at the University of Pretoria. She has also been a Commonwealth Fellow at the University of Oxford and a Heinz Heinen Senior Fellow at the Cluster of Excellence “Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies."
